Market softer after one week break

Numbers doubled and the market was softer today after a one week break with the National Livestock Reporting Service (NLRS) quoted best results for the heavy feeder steers and bulls. Top price in the heavy steers was 340c/kg while the best bull made $2780 for a 1135kg Angus bull sold by RWL. Top $/head in the steers was $2021 for 2 Angus steers sold by NUT. Dalveen Pastoral also had steers make $2020 and Oakleigh Partnership had a pen of 727kg Angus x steers come back at $2001/head. The best cow made $1840 while a single heifer made $1802.
