Quality yearling heifers up to 20c/kg dearer

Females continue to dominate the upwards trends in the market with the National Livestock Reporting Service (NLRS) quoting lightweight feeder and re-stocker yearling heifers as much as 20c/kg dearer on last week while the cow market remains very strong. Well finished, heavy grown steers and heifers were also dearer with plenty with weight making well over $2000.

Black baldy steers sold by Newcombe Livestock & Property on account John Ryan made 389c/kg and averaged 409kg/$1594
